The sunset over Gooseberry Island in Westport, MA was absolutely PERFECT on the night of Emily's family session. She chose this location because it had a special meaning to her family - which is something I ALWAYS encourage. You’ll simply be happier spending time in a place you genuinely love, and that happiness will show in your photos!
Emily & Ray’s adorable 3-year-old son, Shawn, wasn’t in the greatest of moods when they first arrived at the beach…which, of course, is pretty normal for a toddler. So I stepped away for a few minutes to let him have a little quality time with his parents, and he warmed right up. We got to do lots of fun, action-y poses, like the piggyback and the “big swing,” and Shawn ended up having a blast! When the sun was in just the right spot in the sky, I had the three of them sit in the sand together so I could capture those gorgeous golden hour shots they really wanted.
Right from the beginning, it was easy to see just how much love is shared between these three people, and I can't wait to photograph them again! ❤️
